HTC Desire C available in India at Rs. 14,299


HTC Desire C available in India at Rs. 14,299HTC's entry-level Android smartphone, Desire C, is now available in India via online retailer buytheprice at Rs. 14,299. HTC, however, has not made an official announcement regarding an India launch yet. HTC recently introduced its dual-SIM Android smartphone, Desire V, in India.
To refresh your memory, the HTC Desire C was announced in May this year. The smartphone comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating, straight out of the box. The device sports a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320x480 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a Snapdragon S1 600MHz processor, with 512MB RAM, Sense 4.0 UI on top of Ice Cream Sandwich. For audio buffs, the device comes with HTC's Beats Audio technology.
Other specifications of the HTC Desire C are a 5MP F/2.8 rear camera, 4GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD (up to 32GB), 2 years of free Dropbox 25GB cloud storage, and a 1,230 mAh battery.
 

For connectivity, the device supports 3G with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and USB 2.0. The device is available in two colours – black and red.
Yesterday, HTC announced its first dual-SIM Android smartphone, Desire V, in India. The HTC Desire V also runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. Though there's no word on the pricing, but it's expected to be around Rs. 20,000, taking on other mid-range Android smartphones such as Samsung's Galaxy Ace Duos and Pro Duos smartphones.   1. It would have been better if HTC priced it under Rs. 10,000 , it would have proved a nice blow out package for Ruler in this segment GALAXY Y !
